International trade
International trade concerns imports, exports, agreements and licences. So it’s important to stay up to date with the relevant laws and regulations (or to know where to find them). We and our translators therefore monitor developments in the EU, as well as news with regard to Brexit, US-China relations, international trade agreements and of course Incoterms: international commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce.
To operate in the world of international trade you must of course have an international mindset, curiosity about the world around you and wide multicultural interests. International trade and transport builds bridges between people and cultures and we want to play our part in that. A logistics organisation once launched the slogan ‘Without transport everything comes to a standstill’. That’s true, but in our minds we always add: there’s no transport without translations.
And that’s particularly relevant in this sector when it comes to meeting deadlines. In that context we quote the old DHL slogan: ‘We keep our promises’. We wish we’d thought of it ourselves.
